CAMO (Centro Ambrosiano Oftalmico) has vast experience in a variety of therapeutic techniques used in the treatment of eye diseases and visual defects.
CAMO is specialized in the treatment of cataract, retinal and the corneal diseases, and is one of the pioneer centers for the treatment of ocular defects such as myopia, severe myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism and presbyopia, using laser technology or other surgical techniques such as the implantation of intraocular lenses. Our numbers
- 1977-today CAMO was the first clinic in Italy to use phacoemulsification techniques in the treatment of cataract;
- 1989-today CAMO was the first in Italy to use the excimer laser for the correction of myopia;
- 2003-today CAMO was the first in Italy to use the femtosecond laser for the treatment of myopia;
- 2011 CAMO was the first in Italy to use the femtosecond laser for the treatment of cataracts.
